If you are about to hire an SEO freelancer, the most useful thing you can do is look at work they have already done, and check a piece of it yourself. Here is what to look for, and how working with me starts.

Real audits
Not screenshots of dashboards. Reports you can read, with findings you can test.
What they withdrew
Anyone careful has thrown out findings that did not hold up. Ask how many.
No ranking promises
Nobody controls rankings or AI answers. A guarantee is a warning sign.
Who does the work
With a freelancer you should be talking to the person doing it.

How much does it cost to hire an SEO consultant?

I do not publish a rate card yet, and I would be wary of any page that quotes a price before seeing your site. What costs nothing is the first step: three to five verified findings, free. A quote follows only if you ask for one.

Is SEO replaced by AI?

No. AI answers are assembled from pages a crawler could reach and understand, so the same groundwork decides whether a model has your version to draw on. What changed is that there is now a second place to be found, and it is measured separately from rankings.
